Ohio Star

Posted by PicasaI know that I have blogged about this, but while I was printing out BD photos of my grandson, Malcolm, it came to me that I really did like these colors, PINK, and YELLOW. I'm hoping when I finish with enough of the UFP's, I can make something with pink and yellow.

Quilt name: For Malcolm's Eyes Only

This is the finished quilt, about 43" x 44.5 " for my grandson, Malcolm, who will be 1 yr Sept 10th 2010. I will be entering his quilt in the Quiltfest in Jacksonville that goes on Sept 23-25, 2010 in Jax, Fl. It is a wonderful event with gads of vendors, wonderful quilts and great food. It will be the place to be in 2 weeks.
UPDATE (9/12/2010): I was unable to enter this quilt this year in the Quiltfest, due to a (senior moment on my part), but 2011, 3rd wk in Sept, look out it will be on display. I gave this to Malcolm yesterday at his 1st Birthday Party.

I know, I know I haven't written in ages

My grandson, Malcolm is way into 8 months old now and my Aiden is 8 yrs now and Orion is 9. I have joined a quilt guild called the Friendship Quilters Guild that meets 2nd Tues of the month. Awesome bunch of women and so fun to be with. I have been working on spider blocks to become a Vet quilt and a new quilt from a quilt class called, "Quilt the Right Way" taught by one of the guild members. This is picture of Malcolm on the left & also a generation picture with my youngest son Thomas, Malcolm and Malcolm's Great, Great GrandMother Bates.
